In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn – 2023-24 Teaching & Mentorship

“In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn.” – Phil Collins

This quote, from Phil Collins, beautifully captures the essence of my journey as a Adjunct Trainer for “ESG Reporting using Python” during the 2023–24 year at the HKFYG Leadership Institute and and mentor at HKCS (Hong Kong Computer Society). It reflects the dynamic interplay between teaching and learning, where each role enriches the other. This job not only provide me more presentation skills and public speaking skills, also allow to review my communications between people. This trainer experience emerges as a pivotal experience in my fintech career, marked by significant breakthroughs, diverse experiences, and a profound expansion of my professional horizons. These experiences have not only shaped my students but also profoundly influenced my own growth as an educator and learner.

Meanwhile, I have been chosen as a mentor in the mentorship program of the Hong Kong Computer Society and I believe it was a gratifying experience that added a new dimension to my role in the fintech ecosystem. It allowed me to gain insights from other mentors, but it also provided a platform for me to share my experiences with the next generation of professionals.

In conclusion, 2023 and 2024 has been a year of profound growth, marked by breakthroughs, leadership experiences, and an expanded understanding of fintech in both regional and global contexts. As the journey into deep learning and system design has been enlightening, I am poised to leverage these experiences to contribute meaningfully to the transformative landscape of fintech in the future
